Terms of Use
Last updated: September 29, 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Dosius (the “Service”), a subscription regulatory-intelligence tool for the U.S. pharmaceutical and life sciences market, available at dosius.com. By requesting access, accepting an invitation, creating an account, starting a trial, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use the Service on behalf of a firm or company, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization, and “you” includes it.
2. Private beta
Dosius is currently offered as a private beta. Access is by invitation: you may request access from the landing page, and we decide whom to invite. An invitation is personal to the address it was sent to and expires if it is not used within the period stated in the email. Beta access is granted for a limited period, may be extended at our discretion, and may be withdrawn at any time. During the beta, features may change, be added, or be removed without notice, data may be reset, and the Service may be unavailable while we work on it. Feedback you send us about the Service may be used to improve it without obligation to you.
3. Accounts and sign-in
You must provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in credentials secure. Signing in requires your email address, a password, and a second step: a code from an authenticator app, or, if you choose it, a one-time code sent to your email. You are responsible for keeping that app, or that mailbox, and its recovery method safe. Plans are priced per account. Each account is for one named individual, and sharing credentials or rotating multiple people through one account is strictly prohibited. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. If you lose your second factor, contact us and we will verify your identity before resetting it.
4. Trials, subscriptions, and billing
When paid plans are open to you, new subscribers receive a 14-day free trial, which requires a valid payment card. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription begins automatically at the plan price shown when you subscribed and renews monthly until cancelled. You can cancel or change plans at any time from your billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and except where required by law, payments already made are non-refundable. Payments are processed by Stripe. We may change plan prices with advance notice; changes apply from your next renewal. Beta access granted by invitation is free unless we tell you otherwise.
5. Acceptable use
You may use the Service for your own professional research and analysis. You may not:
- Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download the Service, or access it by any automated means other than features we provide (such as CSV export, PDF dossiers, and claim-chart downloads)
- Resell, redistribute, republish, or make the Service or substantial portions of its curated dataset available to third parties, or use them to build a competing product or to train machine learning models
- Circumvent access controls, preview limits, plan restrictions, or the checks that protect our forms from automated submissions
- Use “Ask Dosius” or any other feature to probe, overload, or extract the underlying database beyond your own analysis
- Interfere with the operation or security of the Service
Exports and excerpts may be used in your own work product (memos, filings, presentations) with attribution where practical.
6. Alerts and email
You can watch applications, companies, patents, and topics and receive digest emails when they change. Alert emails are sent to the address on your account at the frequency you choose; each one carries a link to manage or stop them. Account emails — invitations, password resets, and sign-in help — are sent from support@dosius.com and are part of operating your account. We do not send marketing emails.
7. Content and intellectual property
The underlying regulatory, patent, court, and spending records in the Service come from public sources and are not owned by us. The Service itself, its software, design, and the selection, normalization, cross-linking, and presentation of the data, including the morning brief and the answers produced by “Ask Dosius” is owned by Dosius and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service during your beta access or subscription, subject to these Terms. Copies of public patent documents that we keep so they open quickly remain the public records they are.
8. Where the data comes from
Dosius is an independent analytics service built on public records. The dataset refreshes on a regular cycle, roughly daily, and pages show the date their data is current as of. Dosius is not affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the federal courts, or any other government agency or source named here.
9. Disclaimers — no professional advice
The Service is provided for informational purposes only. It is not legal, regulatory, financial, or investment advice, and using it does not create an attorney-client or any other professional relationship. Public records can contain errors, omissions, or lag, and coverage of court cases, patent assignments, and similar records is not exhaustive. Computed fields (such as NCE1 dates, patent-cliff dates, and chains of title) are derived from those records. Always verify this information against primary sources before relying on anything here for a filing, transaction, or legal decision.
The morning brief and the answers produced by “Ask Dosius” are generated by an AI model from the records in the Service. They may be incomplete or incorrect, and they are not a substitute for reading the records themselves.
10. Availability and changes to the Service
We work to keep the Service available and current, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. We may modify, add, or remove features, and may suspend the Service for maintenance.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dosius and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, or data, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or, if you have paid nothing, to one hundred U.S. dollars.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service and cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, or withdraw a beta invitation, if you materially breach these Terms (including the acceptable-use rules above), if the beta ends, or where required by law. Sections 7–11 survive termination.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will update the date above and take reasonable steps to notify active users. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, illegal, or unenforceable in any jurisdiction, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in full force and effect. A holding that a provision is unenforceable in one jurisdiction will not affect its enforceability in any other jurisdiction.
15. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the operator of Dosius is organized, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. For questions about these Terms, email beta@dosius.com.
